ORDERS, CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

Delivery and returns policy.

How proposed delivery, cancellation, return and faulty-product processes will work for online PC orders.

Delivery information

Personal delivery is free for delivery addresses within Hartlepool, Billingham and Stockton-on-Tees. Courier delivery elsewhere in the UK costs £12.99 per order. We book courier services through ParcelCompare using the cheapest suitable postage option.

The checkout will show available delivery methods, charges and the estimated dispatch or delivery window before payment. Unless a different period is agreed, goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made.

A gaming PC may be built after ordering. Any build time is separate from carrier transit time and will be explained clearly before the order is placed.

02

Receiving the parcel

  • Check the outer packaging when it arrives and photograph obvious damage before opening where practical.
  • Contact us promptly if the parcel or PC appears damaged, but a delay in reporting does not remove statutory rights.
  • Keep the packaging during the initial inspection period because a PC requires secure protective packaging for transport.
03

Changing your mind

For a standard product bought online, a consumer normally has 14 days from the day after delivery to tell us they wish to cancel. After notifying us, they normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

The customer may inspect the product as they could in a shop. A lawful deduction may be made where handling goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods and reduces their value.

04

Custom specifications

The cancellation right may not apply to a PC that is genuinely made to the customer’s specification or clearly personalised. Choosing from ordinary standard options does not automatically make a product bespoke. Where we intend to rely on this exception, we will identify it clearly before the customer places the order.

This exception never removes rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

05

How to cancel

Send a clear statement to info@glitchtechgaming.co.uk including the customer name, order number, product, delivery date and the request to cancel. Customers may use the model cancellation form below, but they do not have to use that exact wording.

06

Model cancellation form

Complete and send this information only if you wish to cancel an eligible contract: “To Glitchtech Gaming [postal address to be added] / info@glitchtechgaming.co.uk: I give notice that I cancel my contract of sale for the following goods or services.”

  • Order number and description of goods or services.
  • Date ordered and date received, where applicable.
  • Customer name and address.
  • Customer signature only if the form is sent on paper.
  • Date the cancellation notice is sent.
07

Returning a standard product

  • We will provide the confirmed return address and instructions.
  • The PC must be packaged securely. Customers should use suitable tracked and insured transport where they arrange the return.
  • Responsibility for ordinary change-of-mind return cost will be stated before purchase. We will cover reasonable return arrangements where goods are faulty and the law requires us to do so.
  • Customers should remove personal accounts and back up data before returning a computer where possible.
08

Refund timing

For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, the refund will include the price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered. It will normally be made within 14 days after we receive the goods back or receive evidence that they were sent back, whichever is earlier.

Refunds will normally use the original payment method unless another method is agreed.

09

Faulty or misdescribed goods

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides remedies where goods are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described. Depending on timing and circumstances, these may include the short-term right to reject, repair, replacement, price reduction or final rejection.

Please contact us before sending a PC so we can record the fault and arrange the safest route for inspection or return.
